My Mitsubishi TE (1997) will gets around 450 - 550ks if I really push it to the limit with grandpa driving...slow acclerations, 100 max on freeway and 70 at most on normal roads...also consciously braking in advance. Maximum was just over 500kms just hitting E. Thought it would be alot worse And oh yeah mainly City Driving, probably 80% City, 20% Highway/Freeway.

Although I do have one question and this seems like the most relevant place to ask...

on your third gens when does the low fuel warning illumination appear. I thought mine appeared rather early...

See the picture below and thats when my low fuel light started flashing at intervals...is that the same as some of you? That was after 450ks without a refill. I usually refill the tank before it hits half but i wanted to test it a bit... Comments?

yes, it's quite common for the fuel light to come on when there's still 15-20L left in the tank.

my sedan usually has 18L left when the fuel light comes on, and my wagon has about 15L left.

Sweet...cheers mate, just making sure my attempt to get the most out of my fuel tank won't leave me stranded freeway side - See if I can get more out of her next time
